Maximum compatibility
These paddles are a direct replacement for the standard clutch paddles on the Fanatec CSL Steering Wheel GT3, plugging into the same connectors as the original. Thanks to Fanatec’s inclusion of a brake/throttle mode, these paddles should work in all PC and console games that support Fanatec wheels.
Furthermore, Fanatec’s brake/throttle mode allows you easily to switch on the fly between using hand controls and using foot pedals. You can use the throttle with your foot and the brake with your hand or vice versa. Simply plug a set of Fanatec pedals into the wheel base (rather than directly into your PC’s USB port), and they will operate simultaneously with the SimAbility hand controls.
Precise, adjustable braking
Using a conical rubber for a progressive feel, the point at which the rubber engages can be adjusted. Compared to our previous products (for Thrustmaster wheels), our new enhanced braking system allows for a larger range of adjustment in both stiffness and travel.
The rubber can also be moved to the other side or removed entirely. Removing the rubber from the brake paddle will remove the progressive, heavier feel. In most cases, that is undesirable, but it could be useful if you do not have enough hand strength to use the rubber.
Note: If you decide to place the rubber on the right side, we can provide an adapter by request to swap the in-game behavior of the paddles. This will be necessary for a select few games (mostly on consoles) that do not allow reassigning the throttle and brake. Just contact us if you would like one.
Shifting options

Standard shifters
Two shifting modes
In the “split paddles” configuration, the arrangement of the standard Fanatec product is maintained. Smaller throttle/brake paddle are provided to leave room for the shifting paddles. The paddle shifters can be both pulled and pushed with the standard option (unlike the magnetic option described below).
In the optional “large paddles” configuration, pushbutton shifters are provided for the front side of the wheel, allowing for larger paddles that especially make throttle application in tight corners easier.
Additionally, the pushbuttons from this configuration can be installed even while using the split paddles, allowing for more flexibility.
Note: Using the pushbutton shifters is equivalent to pushing the stock Fanatec paddles. This means that the left button shifts up and the right button shifts down (unless you remap the controls).
Highly adjustable
We provide a wide range of adjustability. For example, the pushbutton shifters can be moved forward and backward.
Magnetic shifting kit (NEW)
NOTE: Not compatible with the old V1 Mclaren GT3 wheel. Fully compatible with V2 McLaren GT3 and the new CSL version. (The V1 requires modification and soldering.)
Plugs into the sockets used for the stock shifters.
Provides standard pull shifting only and only offers the split paddles configuration. Large paddles and pushbuttons are not compatible.
Paddle travel is somewhat adjustable for both shift engagement and full paddle deflection.
There is a soft and a stiff setting for the paddle operation. (Full magnet engagement vs. 50% magnet engagement)
