Description
Installation requirements
The hand controls require a medium level of installation effort using basic tools (though the installation is generally more involved than that of the TM-GT Paddles). No soldering, cutting, or modifications are necessary. Please review the installation instructions for details. If you are not comfortable with completing this installation yourself, please contact Glenn. He can arrange to pre-install the rings on a Thrustmaster steering wheel rim and ship the assembled unit to you. He can even help you select a wheel rim!

Features and benefits
Minimal modifications
You won’t have to modify the T300/TX base. This ensures that you wonāt void the warranty for this expensive component. All modifications are done to the wheel itself.
No loss of functionality or system compatibility
All the standard buttons on the Thrustmaster wheel and base continue to work.Ā These hand controls emulate Thrustmaster pedals, soĀ the Xbox compatibility of the TX and the PlayStation compatibility of the T300 remain intact.
Long lifespan
We use Hall-effect sensors, which never wear out or get dirty.
Two control arrangements
Either ring can be the throttle or brake. If you change your mind after ordering, you can switch it relatively easily in 30ā45 minutes.
Pull throttle
Nearly all customers prefer this mode. You operate the throttle by pulling the ring with one or more fingers. The brake is operated by pushing with your thumb or even the palm of your hand.
Pull brake
This configuration emulates most real-world ring hand controls, such as those by Guidosimplex. You operate the brake by pulling the ring with one or more fingers. The throttle is operated by pushing with your thumb or even the palm of your hand.
(In real-world racing, this arrangement is necessary because a direct link to the brake pedal is often used. It requires the force of all your fingers to operate safely.)
Adjustable ring positions
Pull ring
The pull ring has a wide range of adjustability. Each side of the ring mount has a slider for fine tuning along with 3 holes for making larger adjustments.
Push ring
The push ring can be adjusted inward or outward as well as slightly upward or downward. Simply loosen the two screws at the top of the ring.
Resting positions
Each ring’s resting position is highly adjustable. This is most useful for the pull ring to keep it in a comfortable location for your grip.
Travel
Each ring’s travel can be adjusted independently by changing the travel blocks.
(See the tuning guide for details. There are some limitations since you need to retain a minimum amount of ring travel for the Thrustmaster controller to recognize the input.)
Tip: The name of each travel block refers to the approximate distance the ring will move when that block is used.
Precise, two-stage braking
We use a simple, adjustable conical rubber to allow you to dial in that sweet spot. The adjuster simply moves the rubber in or out, which changes the point at which it contacts the aluminum arm.
Carbon-fiber paddle shifters
We include custom paddle shifters with every order of our ring hand controls.Ā Theyāre designed to improve the accessibility, functionality, and overall feel of the shifting.Ā They are slightly smaller than the stock ones. which leaves room for the bottom of the pull ring. The vertical position of the paddle shifters can be adjusted by replacing the standoffs.
